Manchester United have completed the signing of youth star Dillon Hoogewerf for an undisclosed fee. Hoogewerf looks like another huge prospect at Ajax that could be set for a big career, and luckily for Man Utd its his next move.
Dillon starred 26 times last season netting 10 times whilst assisting for 6 goals. He will join up with the Manchester United u18 side that is packed full of talent.
Speaking to Ajax TV, head of Youth Education Said Ouaali confirmed Hoogewerf’s decision to leave, “Dillon has indicated last week that he will leave the club.
“He is leaving for a foreign club. We wish him a lot of success and know that we have done everything to keep him. He may ultimately make the choice and choose a foreign adventure.”
Manchester United are reportedly planning to make a £40m move for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Dembele has managed to found back of the net 51 times in 94 games for Scottish giants Celtic before making the switch to Lyon earlier last summer.
The 22-year-old has been in stunning form for the Ligue 1 giants – scoring 19 goals in 44 games in all competitions.
According to The Sun, the Red Devils, head-coach, boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to complete a summer deal for the Frenchman as he looks to put together ‘a younger, hungrier squad’ that will be capable to compete for all possible trophies for the next season.
Should the 22-year-old forward arrive at Old Trafford then it could signal the end of Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku’s time.
The 25-year-old forward has struggled for form during the 2017-18 season and is believed to be a transfer target for both Inter Milan and PSG leading into the upcoming summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have submitted a significant offer to Ligue 1 giants Monaco wonderkid Hannibal Mejbri with a view to signing the playmaker on a free transfer when the transfer window will be re-opened in the summer, according to reports from France.
The 16-year-old midfielder is in the midst of a deal dispute with AS Monaco with reports that a five-year contract to keep him in French top-tier until 2021.
Should that be the case then 16-year-old playmaker would be out the contract in the summer and free to move for free elsewhere.
Monaco disputes the reports and are desperate to hold onto their wonderkid, who is deemed one of their brightest talents and has eight caps for France’s U16 side.
